Privacy Policy

Storm Digital ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it. It applies to storm.digital and any enquiries you make with us.

Last updated: 16 July 2026.

Who we are

Storm Digital is a software development studio registered in England and Wales, company number 15877684, registered address 15 Station Approach, West Byfleet, Surrey, KT14 6NF. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

Information we collect

We only collect personal data that you give us directly, primarily when you submit an enquiry through our contact form. This can include:

  • Your name and email address
  • Your phone number, if provided
  • Your company name and budget range, if provided
  • The contents of your message

How we use your information

We use the information you provide to respond to your enquiry, discuss your project, and correspond with you about work you've asked us to do. We process this data on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and, where a project goes ahead, to take steps toward entering into a contract with you. We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties.

Cookies

We keep cookies to a minimum. Our site uses strictly necessary cookies to keep the site working correctly, such as a session cookie and CSRF token used to secure form submissions. Our contact form also uses Cloudflare Turnstile to help prevent spam and abuse, which may set its own cookies as part of that check. We do not currently use analytics or advertising cookies.

Sharing your information

We don't share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We use trusted third-party services to help us run the site and respond to enquiries - such as our hosting provider, email delivery provider, and Cloudflare Turnstile for spam protection - who process data on our behalf and only as needed to provide those services.

How long we keep your data

We keep enquiry data for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to you and, if a project proceeds, for the duration of our working relationship and afterwards as required for our legal and accounting obligations. If your enquiry doesn't lead to a project, we periodically review and remove data we no longer need.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate data
  • Ask us to delete your data
  • Ask us to restrict or object to how we use your data
  • Ask for your data in a portable format

To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to keep your data safe.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "last updated" date.
