We're based in West Byfleet, Surrey, and have built on Laravel every day for over ten years, so we're not learning the framework on your project. Common questions

Are you based in London?

No, we're in West Byfleet, Surrey, about half an hour from Waterloo by train. Most of the work with London clients happens remotely, and we come in for kickoffs and workshops.

Can you take over an existing Laravel project?

Yes, a lot of our Laravel work is picking up a codebase someone else started. We'll audit it honestly first and tell you if it's in reasonable shape or needs more remedial work than a quick handover.

Can you help us plan a Laravel project before committing to a build?

Yes. Some clients come to us for architecture advice first: whether Laravel is the right fit, how the data should be modelled, where it should be hosted and what can wait until after the first release. That's useful on its own, and it makes any quote that follows far more accurate.

Why Laravel over other frameworks?

It gives us a fast, well-tested path to a lot of what custom software needs, including authentication, queues and deployment, without reinventing it each time, which means more of the budget goes into the parts of your product that are actually unique.

Will a Laravel app scale as we grow?

It will if it's set up for it. Slow work goes onto background queues, expensive queries get cached, and because we dockerise everything, adding capacity is a hosting change rather than a rebuild. When an existing app is struggling, a performance audit usually turns up a handful of slow queries rather than a problem with the framework.

Where do you deploy Laravel applications?

We dockerise applications so they can run on any VPS or dedicated server. We've deployed to AWS, DigitalOcean and Hetzner among others, depending on what a client already has in place.

How long does a Laravel build take?

A lean admin system or API can land in a few weeks; something with billing, complex permissions or a lot of integrations takes longer. We'd rather scope it properly against what you actually need than quote a number upfront.

Laravel itself keeps releasing new versions. Do you keep an app up to date with them?

We do. Security patches, framework upgrades and new features tend to keep us involved long after the first release, rather than a handover and a wave goodbye.
